Alessandro Sciarroni, Don’t be frightened of turning the page, 2017

Alessandro Sciarroni is an Italian artist working in the field of the performing arts. His works are performed in contemporary dance and theatre festivals, museums and art galleries, as well as unconventional spaces, and they envisage the participation of professionals from different fields. Taking his inspiration from the migrations of certain animal species, which, at the end of their lives, return to their native country to reproduce and die there, the artist has worked on the concept of “turning”. A literal translation from the English, it is represented on stage by the action of the body turning on its axis: the action develops and becomes an emotional, psychic and physical journey; turning, also meaning to evolve and change. Alessandro Sciarroni is an associated artist at CENTQUATRE – Paris.
