Africa after Dada

Although Dada certainly contributed to the recognition of African art, did it pass on its passion to its supposed heir, Surrealism? Between Tristan Tzara and André Breton, did the focus not shift away from Africa in other, more distant directions? Are we at the beginning or the end of a story?
